What I Miss about Korea.
Hello, My name is Chanwoo and I'm going to tell why I miss Korea and introduce Korean food.
I have many reason why I miss korea.
When I was 14 years old I was in Yangchung middle school.
My Korean friends know Yangchung middle school because I talk a lot about Yangchung. I have a lot of funny and good memories about Yangchung
In Yangchung teachers can hit students because Yangchung is a private school and Yangchung was built 104 years ago so Yangchung has a traditional way to teach students in school. My Korean teacher Ha Young Woo teacher is good at LOL so he often talked about LOL so we can focus easily and my SOSE teacher Le Jae Ta didn't use textbooks because he always used videos.

News' Roundup (Reposted)
Citizens of Ukraine Protest Against Dictatorship
After months of unrest and protesting in Ukraine, Oleksander Turchynov (Parliament Spokesman) has given the government a deadline to form a new unity government. Over the past 3 days, 77 people have been killed and more wounded and shot but president Yanukovych is nowhere to be seen. An official election is being hosted on the 25th of May and people insist that Yanukovych should be removed from power. Many say that he has run away to the north-east of Ukraine.

Protests started when Yanukogych signed a deal with Russia for a bailout of 15 billion dollars. Most people wanted him to sign a deal with the Europeans but since he was pressured by Kremlin, he couldn't deny the deal with Russians. Many people took protesting and for months people have been killed and wounded for this.

The Vision of America
My dream of being able to live and study in America is nearly coming true. If you didn't already know, I am studying abroad in America for the next academic year, leaving my friends, leaving my family and leaving SIS. This is a major change in my life, maybe it could be the biggest culture shock I will ever experience in my life. However, the idea of studying in a different country and the idea of escaping the daily life in Hanoi beats all of the other negative possibilities I may face when I arrive. I expect a lot from the United States from all the stories I've heard, from the pictures and movies I've seen, America seems 'THE' place to spend your live in. I hope it will be the opposite to Vietnam - with beautiful nature, better traffic, better service, better food and so much more!

What I Miss
Living outside where I am originally from is a special
experience and I am really enjoying it. It makes me feel special when I talk
with my friends and cousins living in Korea. I love living in Vietnam, but at some points I miss living in Korea.
Myeong Dong in Seoul.
Food, clothes, service and other things from Vietnam is not
as good as in Korean. When I need those, I become a little bit upset, because I can't get them in Vietnam. I have to buy those when I visit Korea, but the thing is that I only visit Korea once a year. When I visit Korea, I buy a bunch of things I wrote down on my wishing list.

We're Back!
Guys… We are half asleep and half writing
this blog post. We can’t believe a new term began already. Are you ready to go
to school? Waking up at 6 o’clock every morning? Staying up until about 1 am to
finish your assignments and essays? Mountains of homework waiting for you to
finish. Listening to LECTURES which could last more than 8 hours?!?! Oh My
God... Guys… We think we won’t be able
to take this pressure! L
We know this is silly but one of us even tried to eat more than 4 ice creams
everyday hoping that she will be sick to stay in her warm bed with hot
chocolate and her precious laptop… But her plan failed.
And now, we are sitting here in the SCHOOL, writing this
blog post about our boring school life. You think sitting in the library
writing a blog post is interesting? ... well… THINK AGAIN! When the new term
started, horrible things started to happen to us and this was the worst …Oh My
God! The food! The schools’ new term promises were to change the food menu. For
us, nothing changed. They said there will be food from all over the world but
honestly… It was so “different” =)) from last term. No… just no… Please! Please
improve the school lunch or else we will end up eating each other alive! And
you don’t want that to happen! OK, Enough about food.
Even though Valentines had passed long time ago but our
teacher stil
l forced us to write about it. So it was a special Friday. Do you
know what day it is? VALENTINES DAY <3 Did you have a chance to give your
special someone a box of chocolates? A bunch of roses? A love letter? A
romantic night out? Or just a simple “Happy Valentines day”? If you don’t have
a valentine, don’t worry! Be like us! We bought a box of chocolate for ourselves
and sit in the corner of the house, enjoying every piece of chocolate in the
box. This was written by Ha and Thu My from 8LA.
